Starting from July 1, 2024, there will be no labour market test required for applicants for the Employee Card. While job vacancies will still need to be posted on the government online platform, sponsors and applicants will no longer face a waiting period of 10-30 days before advancing to the next stage of the application process.

This modification aims to streamline the onboarding process for foreign talent, enabling employers to address internal labour shortages more efficiently.
