The Global Visa is the UK’s new program for attracting exceptional talent into the country. As of 20 February 2020, it has replaced the Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa.
With a Global Talent Visa for the UK, if you are a “leader or potential leader” in the fields of academia and research, arts and culture, and digital technology, you can work in the UK for up to five years, without a sponsor or a job offer.

You can also renew the visa as many times as you want and can change jobs, with no limit to the total amount of time you are permitted to stay in the UK
Eligibility and Criteria for UK Global Talent Visa:
If you wish to apply for this UK Talent visa, you will normally be required to obtain an endorsement from one of the Endorsing Bodies approved by the Home Office, before you will be permitted to apply for the visa itself. The Endorsing Body will assess whether you are a leader or a potential leader, which is a crucial element of the process of obtaining this visa.
You can use a Global Talent visa to work in the UK if you’re a leader (exceptional talent) or potential leader (exceptional promise) in one of the following fields:
- Academia or research
- Arts and Culture
- Digital technology
