Ireland Eases Eligibility Period for 21-Month Visas Applications

Exciting news for those working in Ireland! As of April 3, 2024, the rules have changed, making it easier for certain individuals to apply for Stamp 4 permission.

If you’ve been employed under a Critical Skills Employment Permit for 21 months, you can now apply for Stamp 4 permission, regardless of when you registered your Stamp 1 permission with the Department of Justice.

The same goes for individuals holding a Hosting Agreement as a Researcher or a Multi-site General Employment Permit as a Non-Consultant Hospital Doctor. After 21 months of employment, you’re eligible to apply for Stamp 4 permission.

And here’s more good news: General Employment Permit holders can now apply for Stamp 4 permission after completing 57 months of employment.

These changes mean that you’re less likely to need a second permit or hosting agreement to meet the 21-month eligibility period for Stamp 4. It’s a win-win situation for everyone!
