All work permit applications must now be submitted through the government website. Paper applications are no longer accepted and will not be processed. This change has only a minor impact on overall processing times, as digital submissions were already common practice.
Requirements for supporting documents differ by authority: some accept scanned copies of ink-signed documents, while others will only accept digitally signed documents.
Starting July 1, 2025, work contracts related to Special Permissions and seasonal work permits must also be filed via the government website. From August 1, 2025, work contracts linked to standard work permits must be submitted through the online system as well.
