New Update on UK Extension of Seasonal Workers Visa Route Until 2029

As part of wider initiatives to tackle labour shortages within the food supply chain, the UK government has declared an extension of the seasonal worker visa route until 2029.

In 2025, this program will offer 43,000 visas to the horticulture sector and 2,000 visas to the poultry sector.

Detailed information regarding visa allocations for the years 2026 to 2029 will be provided later this year.

This visa route extension coincides with independent endeavors to enhance automation in the agriculture sector, potentially mitigating long-term labour demands.
