News Update as UK Eased Regulations for Creative Worker Visa
Following the Home Office’s latest Statement of Changes, the regulations for the Creative Worker route have been eased.
Significant changes include removing the need for occupations to be listed on the Shortage Occupation List and eliminating the requirement for employers to conduct a labour market test. Instead, applicants must either hold a role that aligns with the relevant Code of Practice or, in the absence of such a code for their occupation, be involved in a creative industry role listed in Appendix Skilled Occupations.
Furthermore, they must demonstrate their ability to make a unique contribution to the UK’s creative life (with specific criteria available). This broader and more flexible approach benefits those in the creative sector, particularly those working in niche areas.
